Hi, Im Sean a software engineer with a passion for interfaces that feel human, and an advocate for strong engineering culture.

About Sean Bullock

With nearly 20 years of experience and a background that spans both design and engineering, I sit comfortably at the intersection of the two. I'm a problem solver at heart, and I've never been short of ideas. I am ultimately a product advocate trying to build the best customer experience from every angle.

I've worked across a broad range of products and industries, from startups to enterprise, and freelance work. Each experience has helped forge my intuition for building solutions, while remaining open to learning at every turn.

I'm interested in systems that scale, where changes can be made without friction, and anyone with any skillset can contribute and communicate effectively. I believe a strong design system is the foundation of not only a strong product, but an effective team.

Technology choice is a means to an end, and I'll happily lean into something new or pivot direction entirely if that's what solving the problem actually requires. Whilst I have strong opinions about many things, I don't let myself get hung up on them.

I've been big on AI tooling since early image-generation models a curiosity that initially lead me to training Stable Diffusion models and LoRAs, and a curiosity that is now occupied by LLMs and orchestration. I believe it's more important than ever to ensure experiences still feel human now that code and content creation are increasingly automated.

I care about leading teams in a way that actually helps people grow; those with more experience uplift those with less, normalizing demo culture to distribute learning, and connecting everyone with the value of their work.
